  1. Wash in running water to remove powder (do not use detergent).
  2. Boil for 10 mins in a pan of water to sterilise & allow to cool and dry.
  3. Place in a jug and fill with tap water (charcoal may float when new but it will tend to sink after a week or so of use).

Works like a charm!

I'm very spoiled when it comes to drinking water quality and taste, and I really can't handle the tiniest bit of chloride taste in my drinking water. I went to Spain to a region where the water quality was good, but it still tasted like chloride to me. I used one filter in my 500 ml bottle filled with tap water and left it overnight. The next morning it tasted great!
Also very happy with the packaging, it comes in a tiny bag as seen in the last picture.
